We're into the last week of the Indie Extravaganza! We'll be pulling raffle winners out of a hat on Friday so make sure yours is in there and buy some raffle tickets - we're stopping selling them on Thursday.
It's definitely not over until it's over though and this final week we have some excellent indies to feature including today's contributer, Mantle Lane Press.
Mantle Lane Press is the publishing arm of Mantle Arts, based in Leicestershire and publishing fiction and poetry from writers with an East Midlands connection as well as local history books. Their books are quirky, beautiful and often pocket sized and they've kindly provided us with some exciting information about their forthcoming titles so read on!
In their small books series (as pictured in the raffle prizes below) 2018 brings two new releases.
The Music Maker by Liz Kershaw
A stranger with a beautiful tenor voice joins a choir and uses his voice to infiltrate the consciousness of some of the singers - in particular, targeting a middle-aged woman a good soul who has led a blameless life. The story is narrated by her jealous friend who has her own agenda, causing her to stand by and watch as the stranger’s takeover of the woman leads to an appalling outcome.
Always Another Twist by Sarah Leavesley
After taking revenge on her boss, Julie has just found out she's pregnant and doesn't know how to break it to her sister Claire, who's currently in psychiatric care/unit following the death of her baby and marriage break-up.
A companion novella to our earlier published ‘Kaleidoscope’.
As well as these two intriguing sounding books Mantle Lane are also publishing an anthology...
It Came from Beneath the Sea
A collection of stories with an ocean theme exploring the strangeness lurking beneath everyday reality.
If you are of the writerly persuasion it may interest you to know that Mantle Lane Press is currently open for submissions until November 20th. More information can be found here.
Announcing another raffle prize...Mantle Lane Press have kindly donated a bundle of five of their 'small books' including Sarah Leavesley's Kaleidoscope to our raffle. If you haven't yet got raffle tickets time is running out and the prize bundles are amazing.
Check back tomorrow for our penultimate brilliant feature!
